PayNow with OCBC
Sending and receiving money has never been easier
Transfer and receive money instantly and securely.
Starting 16 March 2024, PayNow participant banks and major payment institutions (MPI) will be implementing an enhanced feature to make your banking experience safer and more transparent. Your full name registered with the bank or MPI will now be partially masked in PayNow funds transfers, replacing the current use of user-appointed nicknames.
This new enhancement prevents scammers from using false names that do not match the account name to deceive victims into making PayNow transfers. Additionally, partially masking the account name helps to deter scammers from perpetuating fake friend calls.
