1 You must transfer at least S$50,000 worth of shares (or its equivalent in non-SGD denominated foreign shares) to an eligible OCBC Securities trading account. If you are also an OCBC customer, you may transfer a combination of the following to make up the transfer-in amount:

  • Any amount of funds from a non-OCBC account to an OCBC account.

Custody of SGX shares
When you purchase SGX shares, they are kept in a Central Depository (CDP) account.

CDP sub-account
Your SGX shares will be custodised in OCBC Securities’ CDP sub-account and can only be sold through OCBC Securities.

CDP direct account
Your SGX shares will be kept in your own CDP account.
