About the Speaker
Mae Anderson is a deeply engaged volunteer in Singapore’s non-profit sector. She has served on the Board of Art Outreach, a leading art education non-profit organisation in Singapore since 2003. She has been the organisation’s Chairman since 2007 and has also served on various government and statutory board art advisory committees, including the National Arts Council’s Public Art Trust, Venice Biennale Commissioning Panel, and the Land Transport Authority’s Art Review Panel.

Art Outreach Singapore presents "Modern Wisdoms," curated by Zarina Muhammad, showcasing fine art prints by local urban artists ANTZ, Chris Chai, and Lewis Choo. These prints reinterpret Chinese folklore, literature, and iconography, offering fresh perspectives on cultural narratives transmitted across generations.

The artworks are derived from murals originally created for the sustainable exhibition series "Off the Wall,” which provides audiences the opportunity to own site-specific art while supporting artists and Art Outreach's non-profit programmes.

Modern Wisdoms will be on show at OCBC Wisma Atria from 9 January till 30 April 2024.
