Spectators and participants of the Games need carry only one card. These UnionPay Prepaid Cards can be used to purchase snacks, drinks and the Games merchandise at the Singapore Sports Hub. On top of that, these cards – specially designed to reflect the symbolic features of the Games – are good keepsakes. After all, it has been 22 years since Singapore hosted the SEA Games."

Mr Toh Boon Yi, Chief of Community and Corporate Outreach, Singapore SEA Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC) said, "We are heartened to see sponsors come together to co-create a unique experience for members of the public around the 28th SEA Games. We hope that the community will enjoy this unique offering by OCBC and UnionPay International."

Ms Eileen Chai, who represented Singapore at six editions of SEA Games from 1985 to 1995, said: "At every SEA Games, I’ve collected a number of commemorative items. Each commemorative item has a special place in my heart and is a lasting memory of the Games. They remind me of not only the honour of donning the nation’s colours at the Games but also the friendships and bonds that were built with fellow competitors and officials – many of whom I still keep in contact with. Though I’m now a violin teacher and no longer competing in sports, I certainly look forward to adding these limited edition prepaid cards to my collection, especially since this year’s Games coincides with SG50."
