Terms & Conditions Governing the OCBC Spend and Get a FREE pair of GV movie tickets SMS Promotion (the "Promotion")

Promotion Period

 

  1. The Promotion Period shall be between 16 April and 15 May 2009 (both dates inclusive) or such other period as may be determined by Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (“OCBC”) in its absolute discretion. 

 

Eligibility

 

  1. Only the following customers may qualify for the Promotion:-

                a) Existing OCBC Credit Cardmember who has received a SMS, inviting him/her to participate in this Promotion and

     

                 b) whose OCBC Credit Card account is in good standing with OCBC shall be eligible to participate in the Promotion
                     (an "Eligible Cardmember")

     

  2. The promotion is applicable to selected OCBC Credit Cardmembers with the selected OCBC Credit Card type mentioned in the SMS that have charged ANY purchase to the targeted card on a retail purchase within the promotion period stated in the SMS.

    3.  

  3. The Redemption Gifts shall be available for redemption by Cardmembers on a first-come, first-served basis. One pair of GV movie tickets is limited to the first 1,000 Eligible Cardmembers while stocks last.

    4.   

  4. The Retail Spending must be made and posted to the OCBC Credit Card account of the Eligible Cardmember within the Promotion Period.

    5.  

  5. Only Retail Spending of primary cardmembers will be considered as spending by the Eligible Cardmember in the computation of Retail Spending.

    6.  

  6. Cash advance transactions, Internet transactions, mail order transactions, phone order transactions, balance transfers, balance transfer transactions, CashWise, recurring charges, existing instalment charges, bank charges, finance and late charges, are not eligible in the computation of Retail Spending.

    7.  

  7. Limited strictly to one redemption per Eligible Cardmember. No reservation is allowed.

Redemption Gift

 

  1. The GV movie tickets will be mailed by OCBC (via ordinary post) to the applicable Eligible Cardmembers within 30 working days from end of Promotion Period.

    2.  

  2. The brand and type of Redemption Gift set to be redeemed under this Promotion shall be decided by OCBC at its discretion.

    3.  

  3. The Eligible Cardmember shall accept the Redemption Gift on an “as is where is” basis.

    4.  

  4. OCBC shall not be responsible for the loss, quality, merchantability or the fitness for any purpose or any other aspect of the Redemption Gift. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, OCBC shall not at any time be responsible or held liable for any damage or defect in any Redemption Gifts, and/or for any loss, injury, damage or harm suffered or incurred by or in connection with the use or consumption of any items in the Redemption Gifts by any person.

  5. The OCBC Credit Card account must be in good standing (as determined by OCBC at its sole discretion) to qualify for the redemption.

    6.  

  6. OCBC is entitled (at its discretion) to withdraw or substitute the Redemption Gift with any other items without prior notice and without assigning any reason therefore.

    7.  

  7. Subject to the foregoing, the Redemption Gift is not transferable and not exchangeable for cash, credit or kind.

    8.  

  8. The Golden Village movie ticket is only valid for use from Mondays to Thursdays. Not valid for premium priced films, 3D films, GOLD CLASS cinema, Cinema Europa, group screenings, film marathons, films festivals and premieres. Not valid for telephone, internet, AXS and iGV bookings. Golden Village Terms and conditions governing the use of movie tickets apply.

 

 

Miscellaneous

 

  1. The decision of OCBC on all matters relating to this Promotion will be at its absolute discretion and will be final and binding on all participants. No correspondence shall be entertained. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions will prevail.

  2. OCBC shall not be responsible for any loss to or expenses incurred by any Eligible Cardmember or any other person in connection with the Promotion, howsoever arising, including any error in computation, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment.

    3.  

  3. OCBC reserves the right at its absolute discretion to terminate this Promotion at any time or vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice including without limitation, the eligibility of any Eligible Cardmember, the methods of computation and the Promotion Period.

    4.  

  4. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and the participants in the Promotion irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
