Tuition Fee Loan

For full-time undergraduates of NUS/NTU, you can now apply for a Tuition Fee Loan from OCBC Bank.

Announcement

The Ministry of Education has announced that from 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010, students who have Tuition Fee Loan or Overseas Student Programme Loan (applicable to Singaporeans only) need not make any repayment. During this period, no interest will be charged to the outstanding loan amount. The interest and repayment will re-commence automatically from 1 April 2010 onwards through your designated OCBC account.

For students who wish to continue repayment during this period, please print out the Repayment Form with Instruction Letter and submit to any OCBC branch.

Benefits

Up to 90% of tuition fee. Loan does not cover hostel fees, purchase of computer, and personal allowance.

Up to 20 years repayment period.

Eligibility

Full-time undergraduates of
- NUS
- NTU

Open to Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and Foreigners

No age restrictions

One guarantor between 21 and 60 years old

Fees & Charges

Loan is interest-free during the course of study.

Interest will commence upon graduation.

Interest is based on the average Prime Lending Rate of the three local banks.

Minimum instalment per month is S$100 and commence within 2 years of interest commencement date.

A penalty of 1% per month on instalment when loan payment is defaulted.
